A Woman's Recovery Begins With Grace...
Good Shepherd Gracenter provides supportive recovery services for women suffering from addiction to drugs and alcohol, strengthening women of all beliefs and backgrounds. Low-income women, in particular are the most vulnerable of this population, suffering from exploitation, intimidation and fear, making their recovery that much more of a challenge. Founded in 1961, Gracenter supports its residents while they go to school, help them gain employment, and provide them with some additional time to help them feel safe and secure in their recovery- all of which is maintained solely through private donations with no government funding.
On Saturday, May 11, 2013, Good Shepherd Gracenter will present their 1st Annual “Amazing Grace Gala” at the beautiful Delancey Street Town Hall on the Embarcadero in San Francisco. Amid the spring flowers, next to the beautiful San Francisco Bay, guests will enjoy an evening of fine dining, a lively auction, entertainment and dancing. At the Gala, Gracenter will honor a very important person in the world of addiction recovery with the Amazing Grace Community Award, and a group that has made a significant and long lasting impact on Good Shepherd Gracenter and it’s mission of women’s addiction recovery with the Amazing Grace Agency Award.
No one can change the world by themselves. But, collectively we can make a big difference. We would be honored if you would consider joining us in May to celebrate those who have worked so hard to make a difference in the lives of those fighting the formidable disease of addiction.
All proceeds benefit Good Shepherd Gracenter, a Licensed Recovery Residence for Women.
